Sturgis man arrested following weekend incident

A Sturgis man was charged with three offenses over the weekend after an incident involving his ex-girlfriend.

Sturgis police responded around 12:20 in the morning Saturday to the 300 block of Gateway Village Drive, where 31-year-old Andreius Dixon was reported to have a pistol in his possession.

Police said the victim told them Dixon allegedly broke into her apartment and threatened a guest. Dixon then allegedly vandalized two vehicles, according to police.

He was charged with home invasion, malicious destruction of property and felonious assault. Officers did not locate a pistol.
