Three Rivers man injured in crash

A 53-year-old Three Rivers man was airlifted to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo Wednesday following a two-vehicle accident in Fabius Township.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m., when 85-year-old Lloyd Hagenbuch, of Three Rivers, was driving south on Krull Road and failed to come to a complete stop at the Gleason Road intersection, authorities said.
His vehicle struck a pickup driven by Dayton Smith. Investigators said Smith’s truck rolled over as a result of the collision. A 44-year-old passenger, Tara Scott, community of residence not stated, was trapped inside Smith’s pickup and had to be extricated by fire personnel.
She and Hagenbuch were transported to Bronson Hospital.

  1. I live right where this happened and this isn’t the first accident I’ve seen in the past few years. Perhaps a 4 way stop and a lower speed limit/regular speed trap is in order? I won’t even let my kids ride their bikes because of the way people drive out there.
