Field of Dreams project receives donation

Metal Technologies, represented by human resources manager Cameron Nevins and plant manager David Bent, made a $500,000 donation toward construction of the Three Rivers Sports Complex.

A ceremonial donation was made between quarters of Three Rivers High School’s varsity football game Friday. Representatives from River Country Sports Commission accepted the donation.

The non-profit charged with overseeing the sports park, River Country Sports Commission has raised more than $4.2 million in grants and private donations.

Jared Hoffmaster, RCSC vice president, said commission members are overwhelmed by the generosity of Metal Technologies. He said the Three Rivers-based company has always been supportive of the community and a vital partner in the Field of Dreams Project.

  1. I guess if you have a sports complex and a mediocre downtown that’s all the residents want. Wouldn’t want to put any of those funds to a good cause.
