Two injured in Fabius crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend in Fabius Township, just outside of Three Rivers.

Michigan State Police said a pickup driven by a 51-year-old Three Rivers man was southbound on U.S. 131 when the driver attempted to make a left-hand turn onto North Main Street. His vehicle, however, struck a northbound car driven by a 47-year-old Three Rivers man.

A 17-year-old female in the second car was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of her vehicle was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital.

Authorities said the driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.

Police have not released identities of those involved, pending further investigation. Meanwhile, a portion of the highway was closed as police began their investigation.
