A Centreville man died Friday in a highway accident in Kalamazoo County.

Portage police said Richard Gamble, age 46, was driving east on snow-covered I-94 around noon Friday when he lost control of his pickup after attempting to change lanes near the Westnedge Avenue exit ramp.

His Ford F-250 struck a guardrail and he was ejected from the vehicle.

A 34-year-old passenger, a woman from Three Rivers, was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
