United Way begins book drive fundraiser

Scholastic and St. Joseph County United Way are partnering with the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District to support a book drive.

The goal is $100,000, which would allow for the purchase of books for all nine public school districts in the county. The United Way has agreed to match the first $10,000.

In addition, Scholastic will donate free books to the school with the highest percentage of donations. A particular school can be identified during the online donation process.

The drive is asking for prospective donors to give at least $10.

Donations can be made directly to the United Way or online at: tinyurl.com/sjcisdbookdrive.
