Centreville student positive for COVID-19

Centreville Public Schools Superintendent Stephanie Lemmer said the district on Friday was informed a junior/senior high student was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

According to the district’s Facebook page, Lemmer said the student will be isolated and those within close contact will be quarantined for 14 days. Close contact is defined as someone who has been within six feet for 15 minutes or more.

Lemmer said the physical spaces have and will continue to be deeply cleaned. She said the district has prepared for multiple scenarios and is ready to take every step necessary for the safety and health concerns of students, staff and community.
