Fall playoff dates announced

The Michigan High School Athletic Association has announced dates and time for the continuation of fall playoffs.

The news impacts three local teams, Centreville and Constantine in football, while Schoolcraft High School’s volleyball team remains in the playoffs.

Centreville and Constantine will host their playoff games, both at 1 p.m. Jan. 2. The Bulldogs will take on Sand Creek while the Falcons entertain Michigan Center.

Semi-final games will follow on Jan. 9 with finals for all eight divisions Jan. 15 and 16.

Volleyball quarterfinals will take place Jan. 5, with finals played Jan. 7-9 at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.

Schoolcraft will face Grandville Calvin Christian at Loy Norrix High School in the Jan. 5 quarterfinal.

Though fans are not allowed to attend the games, many schools are setting up a livestream to provide access to the events.
