Ken Wagers, 53

Kenneth L. Wagers, age 53, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2020 at his home.

He was born May 27, 1967 in Elkhart, son of the late Jake Calvin and Ann (France) Wagers.

Ken resided in Sturgis for the past 4 years coming from Burr Oak. He had also lived in Middlebury and Elkhart.

On February 14, 1987 he married Jamie Cupp in Middlebury.

Ken was currently employed by Thor Motor Coach and he also worked at Michiana Mobile and Coachman Industries.

He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy. Ken had a passion for reading and loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife: Jamie; three daughters: Heather Wagers, Leaha Wagers and Brittainy (Robert) Wagers; one son: Seth Wagers; two brothers: Jack Wagers and Billy Wagers and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: John Wagers.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions of gatherings, the current limitations of no more than 20 people in the funeral home at a time will be followed and face masks are required.

The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Ken’s memory consider the Sturgis District Library, 255 North Street, Sturgis, MI 49091.
