Betty Webb, 81

Betty Jane Webb, age 81, of Sturgis, died Sunday, March 14, 2021, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving care givers, grandchildren and daughter.
Betty was born September 1, 1939, in Three Rivers to OK and Francis (Dimmick) Lunger. She graduated from Colon High School with the class of 1957. During her senior year she earned the “Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow” award, an achievement given to the senior with the highest score in a written examination on home-making knowledge and attitudes.
She worked for the Colmer Division of Maxitrol Co. from 1963 until her retirement in 1999. She was the head foreman of the Combination Department; she valued her time working and made lifelong friendships with her co-workers. Betty enjoyed baking, gardening and making memories with family.
She was married to Roger A. Webb on March 14, 1991, in LaGrange. They made their home in the Sturgis area for the last 30 years. They enjoyed traveling including trips to England, Canada, Scotland and France.
Betty is survived by her loving daughter: Melanie (Daniel) Kiefer; grandson: Kevin Gillette II (Lindsey Isaacs); granddaughter: Kourtney (Cary) Matuschka; great-granddaughter: Amaryllis Gillette; brother: Richard (Marilyn) Lunger; many nieces and nephews. Betty also valued and loved her extended family of care givers: Amanda Bringman, Lee Seybold and “grandson” Aiden Seybold; Karey Stroup; Dawn Vancely and various Home Joy staff. She is also survived by three step daughters and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Chris Trine; parents; sister: Harriett Decker; brother: OK Lunger Jr.
Cremation has taken place and a private burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery will take place on a later date.
