COA building suffers roof leaks

St. Joseph County commissioner Kathy Pangle said the roof over the atrium area inside the county’s Commission on Aging facility in Three Rivers has suffered major leaks and is need of being replaced.

The leaks have been so bad that the atrium area was closed for a period, she said. In addition, Pangle noted, the kitchen area has experienced roof leaks. She said COA director Pam Riley has reached out to a number of contractors in an effort to address the situation as quickly as possible.

Pangle offered her summary during Tuesday’s county commission meeting.

  1. You’ve been in the building for about a year after MASSIVE renovations and now the atrium ceiling needs to be replaced? Sure glad you have a never ending stockpile of money. At least I’m not funding this stupidity anymore. Can’t believe the taxpayers are still willing to put up with this idiocy.

  2. On a side note has the city found any money to fix the dirt two track known as Walnut St.? Asking for the residents.
