Long-time county employee retires

A long-time St. Joseph County employee retired last week, ending a career that exceeded more than 30 years.

Pat Kulikowski has served three decades as administrative assistant. In that role, she has had the unique experience of working under each of the county’s three administrators – Pat Yoder, Judy West-Wing and Teresa Doehring – since the position was created in 1991.

The 63-year-old Three Rivers resident’s last day was Wednesday.

A native of Albion, Kulikowski said she was happy to take advantage of a county-issued retirement incentive but will miss the day-to-day duties that the job provided.

Kulikowski said she plans to remain a part of the county’s solid waste committee and its planning commission.
