Alan Hahn, 66

Alan “Al” L. Hahn, age 66, of Huntington, IN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Alan was born on February 15, 1955 in Sturgis, the son of Ruth Hahn. He attended Sturgis High School and married the love of his life Cindy Sprowl on July 9, 1994 in Traverse City. After high school Alan started his 40 year career in the propane industry as a driver for Petrolane. He worked his way up to Regional Manager before retiring from AmeriGas in 2013. Alan was a member of the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge # 837 of Huntington. During his younger years he enjoyed camping and was an avid bicyclist. He looked forward to traveling and spending time with friends at Indian Lake. Alan enjoyed listening to country music, watching drag racing and was always ready for a game of cards or dice with family and friends. When Alan wasn’t cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes football team you might often find him out in the driveway having happy hour with his neighbors “The Circle of Love”. Alan’s loving heart would do anything for anyone, he will be greatly missed.

Alan is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cindy Hahn of Huntington, IN; daughter, Rachel (Brady) Driver of Sturgis; grandson, Derrick (Ashley) Tice of Constantine; grandson, LCpl Dillon Schwartz serving overseas with the United States Marines; two, sisters; one, brother; in-laws, Lee (Sherrill) Sprowl, Sue (Dan) Bush, Kay Phelps, Connie (Ray) Thrams, John Sprowl, Cathy Sprowl; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and two brother in-laws, Chuck Sprowl & Lee Phelps.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, with Brady Driver officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be given in Alan’s memory to the Salvation Army or New Life Fellowship Food Ministries, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.
