Tina Barnett, 52

Tina Marie Barnett, age 52, of Sturgis, passed away early Friday evening, September 24, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born September 16, 1969 in Sturgis. Her parents were Gale Lynn (McDonald) Ashbrook and Robert Swan.
Tina resided most of her life in Sturgis.
She was currently employed by Morgan Olson in Sturgis and had also worked at Exo-S in Howe, Indiana and TH Plastics in Mendon.
Tina enjoyed working, time in the outdoors and could be often be found coloring. She loved time spent with family and her dogs.
Tina is survived by two daughters: Amara (Ryan) Clarkson of Constantine and Felisha (Antonio) Slater of Sturgis; Fiancée: Ricco Brookins of Sturgis; son-in-law: Juan Cruz of Sturgis; nine grandchildren: Father: Robert Swan of Howe, Indiana; one sister: Renee (Rick) Garten of Constantine; two brothers: Mike (Laresa) Ashbrook of Shipshewana, Indiana and Ed (Tara) Ashbrook of Sturgis; three half-sisters: Carla Davis of Sturgis, Cara (Kevin) Jensen of Mesa, Arizona and Tara D. Davis of California; two half-brothers: Chris E. Davis of Three Rivers and Shane S. Davis of California and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and granddaughter: Shelby Sears.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091. In accordance with Tina’s wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the funeral home to help with expenses.
