Constantine begins Adopt-A-Pole for holiday season

The village of Constantine is offering a community event to help celebrate the holiday season.

The “Adopt-A-Pole” program calls for decorating light poles on South Washington Street, as well as East and West Water streets.

Pole adoption is free and the opportunity is ideal for businesses, schools, clubs, service clubs, church groups and families, event organizers said.

Decorating begins Nov. 26 and must be completed by Dec. 2. Décor must be tasteful, child-safe and family-oriented, poles are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, poles cannot be permanently damaged or altered, and decorations must be taken down by Jan. 8.
