Lou Ellen Leonard, 65

Lou Ellen Leonard, age 65, of Sturgis, passed away Monday morning, November 8, 2021 at her home.
She was born February 23, 1956 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Roger and Patricia (Ankney) Kyle.
Lou Ellen resided most of her life in Burr Oak.
On May 17, 1985 she married Randy Leonard in Centreville.
She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Lou enjoyed collecting garden gnomes. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Detroit Tigers and the University of Michigan Wolverines. She enjoyed watching the birds and always had to have a bird feeder. Lou loved her cat Cracker, her dog Hope and especially loved cookouts with her family.
She is survived by her husband: Randy; two sons: Randy “Bub” (Naya) Leonard, Jr. of Montgomery and Kyle (Kristina Clay) Leonard of Sturgis; four daughters: Angie Patton of Burr Oak, Monica Julien of Sturgis, Desiree Patton of Mendon and Dawn Patton of Three Rivers; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother: Randy (Jana) Kyle of Burr Oak; one sister: Karen (Tom) Morris of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Diana “Barney” Fast.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes in Sturgis. Private burial of the ashes will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak at a later date.
