Sue Franks, 58

Susan “Sue” Byington (Hulbert) Franks, age 58, of Sturgis, passed away late Monday evening, February 13, 2023 at her home.

Sue was born March 19, 1964 in Three Rivers, daughter of William David and Carol Anne (Osborn) Hulbert. On May 26, 2006 she married Lawrence A. Franks.

Sue worked in the restaurant industry for many years, and loved taking care of and forming relationships with patrons.

Sue was an artistic person who loved channeling her creativity through cooking, painting and fashion. Sue loved traveling to warm places, spending time with loved ones, and reading. Sue loved to spend time shopping, enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, but most of all, loved spending time with her beloved cats and dogs. Sue was a welcoming and gracious hostess and was kind and accepting of everyone who came into her life.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Saturday morning, February 18th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1111 Galyn St. in Sturgis. Bishop Karl Ritchie will officiate. Entombment will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
