March’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County decreased by three-tenths of a percent from February.
Figures from the monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget show St. Joseph County’s unemployment rate fell from 5.1 percent in February to 4.8 percent in March.
St. Joseph County’s March 2022 unemployment rate was 3.8 percent.
In addition, Cass County also experienced a drop in its unemployment rate from February to March. Its February rate was 5.4 percent and lowered to 5.1 percent a month later.
Meanwhile, Branch County’s one-month unemployment rate fell in March from the previous month. It was 4.9 percent in February and dropped to 4.6 percent in March.
Michigan’s unemployment rate for March was 4.1 percent, down from 4.6 percent in February.
