Successful “Make It Well” fundraiser

Pastor Rich Saunders of Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene wishes to inform the public about results from a recent drive to help a local family with a “Make It Well” fundraiser.

Saunders said more than $4,000 in citizen and business donations was collected. As a result of exceeding $2,500 in donations, the drive was aided with a $2,500 matching grant from Modern Woodmen.

In all, the drive netted $6,640 to put toward the family’s new well. Total cost is $7,700 and Saunders said any additional donations will go toward the cause.

The church is located at 1221 Coon Hollow Road.

Saunders said the church got involved because the project meets criteria as a recipient of its “Be A Blessing” fund.
