The Three Rivers Woman’s Club recently donated more than 300 boxes of cereal to the Three Rivers Food Site. The donation was the result of a Sept. 30 “Stuff-the-Truck” event in the lot beside the Three Rivers Elks Lodge.
The event was part of the national General Federation of Women’s Clubs’ National Day of Service.
The club cited the value of cereal as a nutritious and affordable breakfast option that many families are forced to cut from their budgets when finances become strained.
According to the club, boxes of cereal continue to be delivered to the local food site.
