Sheriff to speak on senior safety

St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence is the featured speaker at an upcoming event focusing on senior safety.

The event is at 10 a.m. April 12 at Covered Bridge Training Complex, 602 E. Main St., Centreville.

Spence said the program is designed to help older adults protect themselves from crime, scams, and emergencies.

Spence and other law-enforcement officials will provide practical tips, crime-prevention strategies, and community resources in an effort to keep seniors safe in rural and urban areas.

A donation is requested to help offset the cost of breakfast.
