Here’s a reminder that the first of four river cleanup events in St. Joseph County is coming up next week.

St. Joseph County Conservation District has announced its 15th summer cleanup begins June 27 on the Prairie River from Centreville Canoe Park to Hoshel Canoe Park in Lockport Township.

The three-and-a-half-mile route is one of the most popular water trails in the county.

Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to contact the Centreville-based agency, at stjoecountycd.com.

Additional cleanup events are scheduled for July 26, Aug. 20 and Sept. 26.
