Vicksburg Village Manager Jim Mallery said Vicksburg Downtown Development Authority’s Property Improvement Grant program is back for another year.
During last week’s village council meeting, Mallery said downtown businesses will have the opportunity to receive funding to finance exterior improvements thanks to grant money secured by the village.
Matching funds are required. Mallery said grants available are one for $15,000, two for $7,500 each and two for $3,000 apiece.
In a separate matter, Mallery announced the village received a $25,000 grant to support Burg Bucks, a new program expected to start by the end of September and encourage Christmas shopping downtown.
