Constantine municipal officials recently approved a purchase agreement to sell property on East Third Street to St. Joseph County Habitat for Humanity.
Village manager Mark Honeysett said the parcel is at 160 E. Third St. The transaction was for $1.
Habitat’s executive director J.D. Yoder said construction of a 936-square-foot house will commence in October.
Yoder said Habitat for Humanity will use the help of St. Joseph County’s buildings-trade students to construct the house.
Taxpayers paid how much to the county in the tax sale?
