Three Cass County men were recently sentenced on offenses related to criminal sexual conduct.
Michigan State Police investigators said Dowagiac resident James Tovey Jr., 27, was found guilty of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to Cass County court officials.
Meanwhile, Johnathon Barrett, 25 of Cassopolis, and 55-year-old Dowagiac resident Craig Kirksey, were convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Their arrests and convictions are the result of a 12-month investigation that stemmed from a drug raid in Benton Township.
Authorities rescued a 13-year-old girl who, according to court officials, had been sexually abused by the men.
