Health Department launches the “Lock It Up” campaign

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is kicking off its 2026 “Lock It Up” campaign.

Lock It Up provides the opportunity to safely store marijuana, medications and edibles, which may look like a fruit snack to children.

Agency officials said the 2026 campaign has partnered with local agencies to distribute safe-storage locking bags.

Residents can request a bag by visiting any Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency office. They are also available from several other locations, including St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, Pivotal, Covered Bridge Healthcare and Three Rivers Police Department.

Funding for the bags was provided by the Marijuana Operation and Oversight Grant.

  1. Interesting approach with the “Lock It Up” campaign. I wonder how they plan to get the community involved.
