Three Rivers Mayor Angel Johnston issued a Facebook post bemoaning the condition of Michigan Avenue and other state-owned routes through the city.
According to the post made Wednesday, Johnston said her vehicle is in need of an alignment due to travel on roadways in Three Rivers.
Johnston said most complaints she and city hall field center on Michigan Avenue. In addition, Johnston said Main Street through downtown is another popular target for complaints.
Johnston reiterated those roads are under jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Transportation. Johnston said she has asked city manager Joe Bippus to have staff create a color-coded map of the city and identify which streets are city, county, and state routes.
She plans to post information regarding how to reach the proper agency to express road-related concerns.

Seems like road conditions are always a concern for small towns. Did the mayor suggest any solutions?
Mayor Johnston might find residents complaints annoying, but it’s part of her job. Just as it is for every commissioner, village manager, and staff. You point them in the right direction while keeping a running tally of recurring themes so you have additional data to show the need for the responsible parties to step up.
The jurisdictional maps should already exist.
