Tree planted in honor of boy killed in tornado

Michigan State Police troopers from the Niles post planted a tree last week in memory of a boy who lost his life in a tornado back in March.

In partnership with the Niles Post Chapter of STOP, the tree was planted in memory of 12-year-old Silas Charles Anderson, who died March 6 in Cass County.

Along with state troopers, family, friends and community members gathered to honor and celebrate his life, MSP said in an online post.
