Kayden Michale Gruver, age 21, of Bronson, Michigan, passed away early Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, in Burr Oak Township due to injuries sustained in an automobile-pedestrian accident.
He was born January 10, 2004 in Sturgis, the beloved son of Travis and Katerri (Pugh) Gruver.
Kayden was a lifelong resident of the Bronson and Sturgis area. He was a proud member of the Troutbusters Club and had a true love for fishing. He also enjoyed working with his hands and had a natural talent for fixing just about anything.
Kayden will be forever loved and missed by his parents: Katerri and Leonard Haughn of Bronson, and Travis and Amber Gruver of Sturgis; brothers: Damion Gruver of Nebraska and Xavier Nichols of Bronson; grandparents: Larry and Angie Pugh of Bronson and Ken Gruver of Sturgis; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Gruver, and great-grandmother, Nancy Fox.
In honoring family wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Kayden’s life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 7th, at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis.
