Constantine approves cultivation permit

A cultivation permit was awarded last month by members of the Constantine Village Council.

During their March 16 meeting, municipal leaders OK’d the permit to Fawn River Cultivation. Company official John Babcock said Fawn River Cultivation currently has three Class C growing, processing and retail licenses.

It also owns a processing center and three greenhouses, according to Babcock.

The request for a Class C cultivation permit supports the company’s plan to expand on a four-acre parcel in the village’s industrial park.

The company was established in 2008. Babcock said it specializes in alternative medicine, cannabis cultivation, provisioning and customer education.
