Ribbon-cutting event at Glen Oaks

The completion of a capital-improvement project at Glen Oaks Community College was celebrated earlier this month.

School officials said a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event for the South Side renovation project took place May 14 in the college’s gymnasium.

Glen Oaks President Bryan Newton said the renovation was an important project for Glen Oaks. The project concludes work on the campus that started some time ago, with the renovation of its north side.

Some of the other projects on the south side include improvements to the athletic facilities, creating space that better support Glen Oaks student-athletes.
