Two people were injured over the weekend following a crash in Cass County’s Porter Township.
Sheriff Clint Roach said deputies responded around 7 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of M-40 and Teasdale Lake Street in response to a two-vehicle crash.
Investigators said 20-year-old Constantine resident Dylan Burkey was driving east on Teasdale Lake Street and failed to stop his vehicle at the M-40 intersection. Burkey’s vehicle struck a car driven by Abdul Yaqubi, 25, of Colorado. He was traveling south on M-40 when the crash occurred, Roach said.
Yaqubi was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries. Burkey did not require medical assistance, according to authorities.
