Henry H. Moyer, age 59 of Mendon, died Saturday Aug. 7, 2010 at his home. He was born in Vicksburg, MI on July 18, 1951 the son of the late Shirley Roland and Barbara Jean (Hoover) Moyer, and was a lifetime resident of the area. Henry served with the U.S. Army in Viet Nam in 1969 and 1970. He was married to Nanette Phillips in 1971; they were later divorced. Henry had recently retired from Portage Aluminum & Foundry due to poor health.
Henry is survived by a son, Brady Moyer (Sarah) of Santa Clara, CA; a daughter, Patricia Stillman of Spring Hill, FL; 3 brothers, Claude “Ron” Moyer (Delores) of Leonidas, Larry Moyer and Fred Moyer both of Marcellus; a step-sister, Shirley; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Fredrick J. Moyer.
Cremation has been conducted. A military interment of his ashes will take place Friday, August 27, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in Fort Custer National Cemetery near Augusta, Michigan. An online register is available and condolences may be left for the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
