Michael Timm

Michael Wayne Timm, age 56, of Sturgis, formerly of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 23, 2015. He was born on Dec. 23rd, 1958 in Three Rivers to Mr. Wayne and Charlene (Huff) Timm.

Mike graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1977 and earned his Bachelor’s in Education from Western Michigan University. He was an awesome and beloved teacher at the Riverside Elementary School in Constantine for the last 28 years. Mike loved his students and they loved him. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, and gardening, especially his flowers and hummingbirds. He was an avid U of M and Detroit Tigers Fan and enjoyed betting against his mom.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his parents, Wayne and Charlene Timm, of Three Rivers; sister, Kelli (Rob) Atkinson and their daughter, Taylor Rider; all of Three Rivers; special grandparents, Russell and Helen Fox; very special friends, Steve, Jeannie and Sheila Vicsik; several aunts and uncles and his very special dog “CeeDee”.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of memorial services beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Culver officiating.

Donations may be directed to a fund in honor of Michael’s memory at Peoples Federal Savings Bank, 123 Portage Ave, Three Rivers, MI 49093.

  1. Mr. Timm was a nice and considerate teacher. I always appreciated him for his kindness and fairness when it came to the kids he taught. I never dreaded going to parent teacher night, when he was my child’s teacher. I am so sorry to hear this. He will be missed.

  4. Mr. Timm was my son, Tyler Mercer, 5th grade teacher! He was Awesome and Tyler benefited from his teaching. He was also Great with the Parents of his Students! So Sorry to hear of this Loss of a Great Man!!
