Denny Seager, Sr., age 67, of Jones, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles. He was born in Three Rivers, the son of the late Walter and Melvina (Clute) Seager. He was a graduate of Three Rivers High School class of 1967. Denny was a charismatic and loving man. He had a “big heart” and was always willing to help others. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, trapping and mushroom hunting. He also loved to gamble and enjoyed going to the casino and hosting the weekly poker games at his family home. Denny was a hard worker who was employed at many places over the years and was a bartender at Walt and Mel’s Friendly Tavern in Jones. He had a great sense of humor which made him a joy to be around. Denny loved his family and leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. He is survived by seven children, Dawn (Susan) Seager Henry, Denise (Lowell) Ambs, Tara Sternaman, Ward (Teri) Seager, Tammy Bent Seager, Denny Seager Jr., Jeffrey (Ashley) Seager; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siblings, Robert Seager and Sara (Tom) Miles; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by two cousins, Vicki Mayer and Vanessa Young; as well as many other family members.
