Police arrest man with help from K9 Jake

A 36-year-old Three Rivers man was arrested for retail fraud and possession of methamphetamine on Tuesday. Police said they were sent to Walmart for a theft in progress at approximately 2:30 p.m. K9 Jake was brought in as the subject fled the store on foot. K9 Jake established a track and stolen merchandise was located and later returned. The track continued approximately a mile later into a residential area near Coon Hollow Road. A concerned citizen called Central Dispatch and notified police that the subject was in his backyard, in the same area as police. This led to the arrest without incident.
