Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Sturgis man was arrested last week on a drug-related offense following a traffic stop in Sturgis.

According to a department media release, officers stopped a vehicle for an undisclosed violation at 10:50 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of East Chicago Road.

Officers noticed the 32-year-old driver was in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and charged with possession of meth, according to police.
