Here’s the weekly update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the U.S. 131 reconstruction project in Three Rivers.
Two-way traffic continues to follow northbound 131 at the M-60 intersection toward the south end of the project. Meanwhile, two-way traffic on northbound 131 remains in place at the Hoffman Road/Rocky River bridge area.
Also, utility relocation work remains ongoing throughout the project and bridge work at the southbound Rocky River bridge continues.
MDOT also noted that road-building concludes on 131 southbound north and south of the Rocky River bridge to south of Hoffman Street. Concrete bridge approaches completed at the Rocky River bridge.
In addition, asphalt paving is expected to be completed at the north end of the project, while roadbuilding continues on the new southbound U.S. 131 at the south end of the project.
Finally, Hoffman Street west remains closed until asphalt paving, striping and concrete work are fully completed.
Protect your car tires from the large potholes, drop-offs and scoured chunks of pavement – Drive SLOWLY – between the new stoplight at the south end to past the Hoffman Street bridge!
