Two arrested after altercation at Three Rivers business

Two people were arrested Friday after Three Rivers officers were called to Walmart regarding a suspicious situation.

Officers were requested to the store in response to an altercation in the store parking lot. A woman who fled the scene on foot was detained near Meijer and charged with possession of drug equipment.

A truck involved in the incident was spotted later that night on Fourth Street. The driver fled after officers attempted to stop it. Officers pursued the truck into Fabius Township, where the driver abandoned it on Bullock Road.

K9 Django was summoned and tracked the suspect to a nearby residence. A search warrant was executed and officers located the man, along with evidence from the crime scene at Walmart. He was charged with fleeing police, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The pickup was reported stolen out of Cass County.
