Hillsdale County reports three COVID-19 cases

Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency has been notified of three positive test results for COVID-19 within its jurisdiction.

The victims, two adult males, and an adult female from Hillsdale County, have been self-isolating, according to health officer Rebecca Burns.

The health agency will consult people who have been in close contact with the patients, and assess for symptoms, quarantine and monitor appropriately.

Anyone who has been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 is asked to self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor themselves for fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Residents in Branch, Hillsdale and St. Joseph counties can help prevent the spread of COVID- 19 by staying home and following Gov. Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order, Burns said.
