Here’s the weekly update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding its redevelopment of U.S. 131 in Three Rivers.
Stage 5 traffic pattern remains in place and all traffic will continue to travel on the southbound lane.
Construction crews plan to continue gravel grading, and work on new curb and gutter on the north side of Michigan Avenue. All Michigan Avenue traffic is westbound only; detour routes are posted for motorists wishing to travel east on Michigan Avenue.
Also, roadbuilding continues for the new northbound U.S. 131 lane and construction on the multi-use path remains ongoing.
MDOT officials additionally stated that storm pipe will be laid at various locations and the project’s electrical subcontractor will be performing traffic-signal work at various locations throughout the length of the project.
