Police investigate Branch County break-ins

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating two breaking-and-entering incidents in Branch County.

According to a department media release, the first incident occurred between 4 and 7 p.m. April 20 in the 300 block of Teds Drive in Coldwater Township.

Items reported stolen include a Dewalt impact drill, two rechargeable chain saws, a Samsung tablet, and an Xbox.

The other incident took place during the daytime Monday in the 300 block of Peacock Drive in Girard Township.

The victim told authorities two firearms were taken from the residence.

A neighbor reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area around 12:30 p.m. It was described as a tan or gold, mid-size sedan driven by a white male with a second white male in the back seat.
