State police arrest man on multiple charges

State police troopers arrested a suspect connected to an incident this week in Union City.

Troopers were called at 5:45 a.m. Sunday to a self-serve laundry in the downtown area in response to someone stealing quarters from a change dispenser.

Troopers arrested the suspect at the scene and through further investigation, they discovered he was involved in several additional offenses. Items in his vehicle appear to have been stolen from other locations in Branch County.

He was charged with larceny in a building, breaking and entering of a coin machine, possession of methamphetamine, a weapons offense and receiving and concealing stolen property.
