With the recent resignation of treasurer Geoffrey Smith, the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District Board of Education is accepting applications to fill the vacancy.
As required by code, the board has 30 days to fill the post.
Any registered voter who resides within St. Joseph County is eligible to apply. Deadline is noon Oct. 8.
Prospective candidates may apply by sending a letter to ISD Superintendent Teresa Belote, by fax, at 467-4309 to the attention of Belote, or by email: tebelote@sjcisd.org.
Interviews will be conducted at the board’s Oct. 19 meeting. ISD officials aren’t sure yet if the meeting will be held in-person or virtually.
Candidates will be notified of the meeting format as soon as possible.
