There was little suspense in what members of Centreville Public Schools Board of Education would address first on their agenda at Monday’s board meeting.
Acknowledgment of the high school’s state-championship football team, of course, led the hour-long meeting.
Board members and Superintendent Stephanie Lemmer shared in the jubilation of the Bulldogs earning the Division 8 crown last week in a win over Ubly High School at Ford Field in Detroit.
Lemmer said she has received messages of congratulations from her peers across the state, and noted the win has injected excitement to the district’s high school students.
Lemmer acknowledged athletics director Jill Peterson, high school principal Chad Brady and other staff members for their season-long commitment to the team.
