Ralph Krzyzanski, age 73, of Colon, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence after fighting a short battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Ralph and his family were able to enjoy and celebrate the last 6 months of life before a short 3 days of comfort with hospice.
Ralph was born on January 31, 1948, in Bronson, a son to the late Raymond and Rosalie (Patoka) Krzyzanski.
On September 28, 1991 Ralph married Diane Newbold in Colon.
Ralph worked for Lear IAC in Mendon as a quality control inspector for 38 years, retiring in 2010. Ralph loved to travel and had visited several countries and was proud to have family living in Wales, U.K. Ralph also loved photography and used it to document all of his travels which led to large volumes of photos from around the world. Ralph was also a collector of antique hunting and fishing equipment that he took pride in restoring. Ralph had a sweet spot for old ammunition, especially complete boxes of old paper shotgun shells. Ralph also had a passion for his antique Bronson rod and reel combinations. He had many in his collection but was very proud of his “Bronson 66” that was still in its original packaging and his “Bronson 63” that had its own carrying case.
Ralph is survived by his wife Diane Krzyzanski of Colon, children: Andrea Garrett of Novi, Christopher Krzyzanski of Colon, and Jason Krzyzanski of Coldwater, a brother Roger Krzyzanski of Coldwater and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his 3 brothers: Ron, Richard (Rick), and Raymond Jr. (Butch) Krzyzanski.
