Michigan reported fewer coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday compared to a week earlier, adding 27,308 new cases. That’s down 11 percent from the previous week’s tally of 30,685 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.
St. Joseph County reported 236 cases and four deaths in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 231 cases and two deaths. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 8,304 cases and 121 deaths.
Across Michigan, cases fell in 65 counties, with the greatest declines in Wayne, Macomb and Monroe counties.
