Local Businesses Provide Kentucky Aid, Request Donations from Public

B&B Trucking and Climax Solar are hosting a donation drive for those affected by Kentucky tornadoes. The event is supported by the Hands Up Foundation and Local Love Kalamazoo, a Kalamazoo area 501c3 nonprofit.
The public is encouraged to attend and donate at the donation drive on Sunday, December 19th at 10am, at 7017 South Westnedge Avenue in Portage. Requested donations include:
● Bottled water
● Nonperishable food
● Batteries
● Flashlights
● Blankets
● Generators
● First aid kits
All items must be new; no used clothing or other used items can be taken. Monetary donations will be accepted and can be made to Local Love Kalamazoo at www.locallovekzoo.com. Climax Solar CEO Josh Thompson will match the first $10,000 in monetary donations.
B&B Trucking has generously offered to transport all donated items to the areas of Kentucky and nearby states impacted by last week’s devastating tornadoes.
