Lorraine Ann Marek, age 101, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Beacon Health System – Three Rivers Health.
She was born June 28, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Hodek) Spevacek.
Lorraine enjoyed volunteering at church as a minister of care, and serving Meals on Wheels. She was a member of SOKOL and served as president of the Junior Women’s Club. She had a servant’s heart and served many people over the years.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Marek, and friend, Lynn Zeiler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Marek, her high school sweetheart.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at noon at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00. Following the Rosary, family and friends can gather to enjoy food and fellowship.
She will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Ill. following a chapel service Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CT/2:00 p.m. EST. A location for a celebration of life gathering will be announced at the end of the service.
