Norma Mae “Tess” White, age 80, of Jones, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born February 24, 1944 in Columbus, OH a daughter of Norvell and Mary (Hayes) Ault. She graduated from Holy Family High School and St. Peter’s Graduate School in Columbus.
On December 23, 1988 Tess married Robert White at the Bristol United Methodist Church. She was employed as a school bus driver for ADEC of Elkhart County Community Schools from 1978 to 2006. She also operated T & B Whites Groom & Board from 1989 to 2021. Tess enjoyed reading, bird watching, and cherished spending time with her family and pets.
Surviving are her husband Robert White of Jones, daughter Mindy (Roland) Richardson of Atkinson, NH, granddaughter Molly Richardson, grandson Martin (Jessica Espinoza) Wetzel, great grandson Lincoln David Wetzel, sister Loretta (Dennis) Wetzel, Bristol, daughter in law Dorette Wetzel, South Bend.
Tess was preceded in death by her parents, son David Martin Wetzel, daughter Molly Lee Wetzel, and brother Norvell (Doreen) Ault Jr.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Gary Lewis, Bristol Community Church, officiating. Cremation will follow services with burial of ashes at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, IN at a later date.
